Riekes Equipment & Bublitz Material Handling Merge to Better Serve the Midwest Market

Kansas City, MO (2/8/2018) – Riekes Equipment and Bublitz Material Handling officially announce their merger. The merger is effective today and the companies will combine business operations in the coming year. The combined, privately held company will operate under the Riekes Equipment name and to be headquartered in Omaha, NE.

“It is a very exciting time for our organization as we evolve and grow,” said Jeff Bublitz, CEO of Bublitz Material Handling. “We are thrilled to officially be one organization and I am energized by the opportunities we have ahead.”

“This merger will build value for our customers and our employees,” said Duncan Murphy President. “Bublitz employees will bring a wealth of experience to the combined organization. While they will benefit from other resources and have greater opportunities for career development within the larger company. We expect this to boost both our financial performance and customer-facing operations. “

Murphy added, “With the strong leadership of the Riekes management team, working with our experienced Bublitz team, we are poised to remain the market leader in our industry.”

In 2018 the companies positioned themselves for growth by launching: 

  • Advanced Technology Investments – launching a new business operations software which will provide both relationship management and automated field services.
  • Revamped Operational Structure – New leadership structure to provide strategic direction and ensure a quality experience for clients and employees.

In addition, the combined operations will benefit from the expansion of the rental division. Together, the companies have more than 200 employees and more than 15,000 customers.
