After merging with another division, a large warehouse company outgrew its current facility. Upon securing a new warehouse, they wanted to create an optimum layout to increase capacity without expanding their footprint.

OUR SOLUTION
First, Riekes conducted a space utilization assessment in both facilities to understand how they operated. Then, we presented a comprehensive plan that included a change in material handling equipment, a robotic solution and a redesigned racking plan that would provide 80 additional pick locations.
THE RESULTS
Riekes helped the customer implement a successful warehouse design that met all their needs, even incorporating short-term and long-term growth projections. As a result, operational productivity increased by 20% and operating costs decreased by 5%.
